Presenter: Johanna Voss, Adams County Health Department Hidden in Plain Sight provides education to adults on vaping and drug use and how students are hiding their addiction at school (and home). Being aware of new trends among teens provides adults the ability to recognize signs early. Second portion of the session will provide information on emergency preparedness for educators in a school setting. |
Tracy Family Foundation School & District Opportunities
Presenter: Angie Schlater, Tracy Family Foundation The Tracy family believes that education and opportunity go hand-in-hand. A quality education opens doors to new worlds and new possibilities. The Tracy Family Foundation works in a 10 county region in West Central, IL. The goal of this session would simply be to make schools and districts aware of the many opportunities available to them through our foundation. |
Using Brain Science to Regulate, Relate, Reason

Understanding and Controlling our Emotion Cycles
Presenter: Leslie Vigor, ROE #1 Using the concept of Emotion Cycles from Onward by Elena Agulair, attendees will understand how to identify what is happening physically and mentally in our bodies during difficult moments. Strategies will be offered to help us persevere through stressful situations with family, friends and colleagues. Examples on how to teach this concept to students will be discussed. |
